It’s the first episode of our new Actual Play podcast and we’re starting off with a little bit of homicide. Welcome to Spindlespire Bay, the stomping grounds of the Murder Mavens. This group of retirees dedicates their free time to reading mystery stories and solving real crimes. Tonight, their visit to a fancy Halloween party is derailed when someone is murdered. Now they have a hour to solve the crime before the inept Sheriff arrives and arrests the wrong person. Listen along with our live audience and see if you can crack the case!

Inspired by shows like Critical Role and Dimension 20, we are going to do our very own actual play role-playing game. But we’ve got so many ideas that we couldn’t pick just one! From week to week, we’ll be solving mysteries, hunting cryptids, flying spaceships, or maybe just hanging out at the local pizza place.

If you’re new to RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, don’t worry! We’re going heavy on fun and light on the rules. You don’t need to do any homework before you listen.
