Pete Wright is a podcaster, author, and co-founder of TruStory FM. He's been behind a microphone for over thirty years and has logged thousands of episodes across three dozen shows covering film, ADHD, creative process, and the craft of storytelling. He spent fifteen years teaching graduate students and has consulted on brand communications for organizations ranging from global brands to one-person shops. His debut science fiction novella, Lattice, was published in 2026. He lives in Portland, Oregon.

Harold Ramis made his big screen debut acting in Ivan Reitman’s 1981 military comedy “Stripes,” which he also co-wrote for Reitman, having worked on “Animal House” and “Meatballs” with him a few years before. He’d go on to appear in a number of films throughout his career, and generally played the straight man to people like Bill Murray. Today, a metaphor. You’re at the top of a hill. There’s a giant ball in front of you, held up by a rock. If you kick that rock, the ball will start rolling down the hill, picking up speed and racing on its way. But you’re struggling with your ADHD. So you look at the ball, you stare at it, and try as you might, you just don’t see the rock that you need to kick.
With a background at Second City and National Lampoon, comedy was right up Harold Ramis’ alley, and while he had early opportunities to write and perform comedy, it wasn’t until the third feature film on which he was involved that gave him the opportunity to direct. Luckily for him, that movie was “Caddyshack” and the rest, as they say, is history.
