CATFA 083: Super Constitution or Super Throw Up?

Minute Eighty-Three: From Mountain Top to Train Top

Joining us today, we have Will Freeland from the Hype Is My Superpower podcast.

In the eighty-third minute of Joe Johnston’s 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger

Steve and Bucky are back to their old bantering ways. We chat a bit about their relationship and their comic history together. We chat a bit about the train and how it’s scripted vs. how it plays in the finished film – does it make it different if we know they’re after Zola? But why don’t they just kill him? Does it speak to ulterior motives from the SSR? There’s certainly some sense of the darker evolution of the organization.

Who figured out physics involving ziplining down this line? We also have some complaints about the editing around Steve’s line and Dum Dum’s response. Plus, the anachronistic line from Falsworth. Plus, why do just three guys head down to the train? Why not the entire team? Do the rest head down for hot cocoa?

There’s some talk about the train itself as well as the battle damage on Cap’s shield. Tune in!
