Chapter 2 • Sidearms & Switches
Buckaroos of the Weird West continues with Chapter Two: Sidearms and Switches
In the grand tradition of many great stories, Ryan FitzPatrick’s adventure into podcasting started in a library. Surrounded by friends rehearsing an upcoming live performance at Phoenix Fan Fusion of Kyle Olson’s Star Wars Episode One: Take Two, someone said “hey, this is fun” and “we should do this more than once a year.” And so, as many things go, a thought became an idea and an idea became a script. Not Ryan’s script, though he does profess to write from time to time. But rather another Kyle Olson creation, To Prove a Villain. Armed with this script, a copy of Audacity, and the audacity to pretend he knew what he was doing, Ryan produced his first podcast! From there, he would go on to produce a second season of To Prove a Villian, the Monday Matinee (where the ladies of The Swashbuckling Ladies Debate Society had their first adventure), several seasons of The Swashbuckling Ladies Debate Society (now a Trustory.FM original!), and the upcoming Buckaroo’s of the Weird West. Come along!
