Andy and Steve talk dark school stories and a list full of movies that transformed an actorās career⦠one way or another!

Another great Saturday Matinee with a chance to talk movies for all of our wonderful Patreon supporters out there. After chatting about movies weāve been watching, we dig into our trailers – a horror remake with an amazing look and another adaptation from

Pete and Steve wrap up the summer break with a list of movies set in sweat ā itās our favorite films in summer heat! Plus, Steve shares his review of The Endless and Pete dives into Downsizing before both of them head out for MI:Fallout!

Peteās in Phoenix and that means the guys are together for the first time in⦠ever⦠recording face-to-face. Yeah, I guess itās kind of a big deal? Anyway, they talk about two great trailers and one weird one, and then ā because of a split vote ā they each

Just before the summer break, Steve and JJ take a trippy ride to The Congress. Based on Stanislaw Lemās 1971 novel The Futurological Congress, this was Peteās trailer pick from May 23, 2014. There is a lot going on in this movie, especially once we get to the animated zone Abrahama City. Centered around Robin Wright, played by Robin Wright, this film explores the next generation of filmmaking, the ability to convert a person into corporate property, and the bond between a mother and son.

Andyās diving into the Marvel TV universe so we talk Agents of SHIELD, Cloak & Dagger, and more genre stuff in the HDR Hero-verse. Ethan Hawke is still the busiest man in entertainment with one of our trailer picks this week.

Andyās latest watchlist: every movie that Steveās ever spoken of. Pete finally saw DP2 and O8ās on deck. O12 is as divisive as ever as we gear up for O13. Plus a surprisingly good list of movies with great train heists, or in Steveās case, movies in proxi

Remember NC-17? Yeah, weāve broken that and now we canāt have nice things without 7-year-olds in the theater for Dead Pool 2. Steve checked out Hotel Artemis ⦠so thatās a thing. And there are seven bars in which you can drink in two US states at the same

We donāt talk about Dead Pool or Solo this week because Peteās behind. But we do talk about prequels and horror and good parenting and Sweden and profanity and this tweet from Roman Mars:

We call the Film Board a gang of thugs, but weāve got nothing on the crew from Triple 9, a violent cop drama from 2016 directed by John Hilcoat. With both the Marvel and DC cinematic universes represented as well as The Walking Dead, this film has a slew of familiar faces. We have corrupt cops working one last heist for the mafia, and needing to sacrifice one of their own to do it. From early on this films delivers on action and adrenaline, but can the story and actors deliver an appropriate finish?
