In the ninetieth minute of Joe Johnston’s 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger…
Schmidt and his Hydra metaphors. They’re pretty nice even if they are a bit broad. The pilots, however, look like they’re in gimp leathers. We get a great reveal of the entire Hydra platoon and it’s frightening, particularly when they salute. Red Skull has a great smacking of his lips, and then we’re back in London in the bombed-out ruins of the Whip & Fiddle. We talk about the mirroring of Skull and his toast with Steve and his drinking. We also chat about Steve and Peggy.
