Minute Fifty One: From Iron Man Getting Up After the Fight to Locked-Up Loki

Joining us on the show, we have Declan Craggs from Scream Movie Minute.

In the fifty-first minute of The Avengers

The fight comes to an end. We sure hope there were no campers nearby as they may have just had all the flesh ripped from their bodies! We talk a bit more about the idea of good guys fighting, and that sense after something involving a lot of adrenaline when you calm down and look at what you’ve done. There’s a sense of that here for sure.

From there, we transition to the skies and specifically the helicarrier. Were they cloaked or not before we see them? Possibly? But how do our heroes get off the quinjet onto the helicarrier without getting blown immediately off the deck? And how do they breathe? Loki makes it into the hall with a team of SHIELD troops that look suspiciously like bad guys. Is this the start of HYDRA’s infiltration? We ponder the strange white antennae spaced out across the ceiling.

And we get to chat a bit about Bruce. What the heck is he working on? Should we know what this machine is or does? We assume it has to do with gamma, but does that mean this room’s irradiated? Why is it blue? When he and Loki share a look, what causes that pinch he does to the bridge of his nose? Is he just tired or are we meant to assume there’s some sort of thing Loki’s doing to him? It’s a strange moment, but plenty of great conversation. Tune in!
