Minute One Hundred Thirty Two: From The Tesseract Being Dealt With to Fury’s Dramatic Walk

TwitchTV’s MarvelousTay joins us in this episode!

In the one-hundred-thirty-second minute of The Avengers

While Fury talks with the World Security Council, we follow our heroes in Central Park as they ship Loki off to Asgard. Where did this handy Tesseract travel tube come from? Did Erik whip that up in his spare time? It’s certainly convenient, and clearly knows how to get Thor and Loki back to Asgard. What’s with the muzzle Loki’s wearing? We ponder the need for something like this as he’s not a villain who says spells or attacks with his mouth. We assume it’s just because it makes him look caught that much more.

We watch our heroes go their separate ways (though completely ignoring Erik – so much so we don’t even discuss his departure, or lack thereof, in the episode). Tony and Bruce are scientist best buddies now! And Tony has a sweet ride. Too bad it’s not Acura real… yet.

We end our conversation discussing Fury and the WSC. What do we think of their motivations? How about how it ties into the TV show? And what does it say about where the franchise will go from here? Tune in!
