Star Wars Celebration 23

Danielle (WrittenintheSW) attended Celebration, and she joins Matthew Wilhelm Kapell and me to discuss the event, along with all the future plans that were announced!

Danielle (she/her) dedicates her time to fervently discussing Star Wars, the MCU, and The Last of Us. She’s also a Ph.D. researcher in Text & Image Studies, which, in layman’s terms, means she gets to read a plethora of comics and consider it part of her research. Follow her on TikTok at @writteninthestarwars, on Twitter at @danies394, and on Instagram at @writteninthesw. Discover more of her content on The Bad Batch at Temple of Geek.

Matthew Wilhelm Kapell has an extensive teaching background, covering subjects from human genetics to film studies at institutions in California, Michigan, the UK, and now at Pace University in New York City. He is the current editor of an academic book series exploring digital and tabletop games. Learn more about his publications and endeavors at matthewkapell.com. He consistently remembers that the numerous “Hero’s Journeys” are also “Heroine’s Ordeals.”

A millennial, Gen Z’er, and Gen X’er walk into a cantina …

Each of us came into Star Wars in our own way, at our own time, and there is so much we can learn from each other when those differences fuel conversation, not conflict. Join Erin, Matthew, and Alex as we share our love for the galaxy far, far away on the Star Wars Generations Podcast!
