On this BONUS episode, we pulled up to Hell’s Last Drive-In (trademark pending) to catch Constantine from 2005, and honestly? We had a lot more fun than we expected. Sure, Keanu’s doing his growly “I’m dangerous” voice that doesn’t quite work, but holy shit – Tilda Swinton as Gabriel and Peter Stormare as Satan absolutely steal this thing. Stormare’s devil is this perfect mix of terrifying and completely unhinged, like an evil Tom Bombadil who’s transcended sanity, and we are here for it. While the movie completely abandons its British comic book roots (sorry, Hellblazer fans), it has become it’s own thing with a cult following (occult following?) Also, there’s a post-credits scene that makes one of us audibly lose his mind in real time, which was worth the price of admission alone.
