Pete, Ocean, and Tommy take to the news with talk about retread, Succession, HBOMax, and Mike Flanagan. Plus trailers and Die Hard Speed Round Trivia with a list of movies around the Saddest Christmas.
Pete has been a broadcaster for the last 30 years, falling in love with the edit bay in the back of a newsroom in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He studied journalism at the University of Colorado with a focus on long-form documentary production, turning that early experience into a career helping businesses shape the stories of their brands through image and sound. Pete earned an M.S. in Organizational Design and spent fifteen years teaching graduate marketing students the power of human-centered communications. From public relations teams on global multi-million dollar brand projects to marketing for independent business owners, Pete has helped shape communications that build brands. In 2006, he launched Fifth & Main, LLC., a media consultancy focused on brand-building through the nascent field of podcasting. In 2020, nearly 3,000 individual podcast episodes behind them, the company rebranded as TruStory FM with an ear toward the next decade of podcast education and entertainment.

This series is over. We’ve covered 17 Girls, The Future, Hard Labor, Dimensions, Pariah, Tomboy, We Need to Talk About Kevin, Where Do We Go Now?, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, A Simple Life, and Arthur Christmas. So what did we think of these films that, like this podcast, are celebrating their 10 Year Anniversaries? And how have they held up over this past decade?
We close out our 10-part 10 Year Anniversary series – all in part of celebrating our 10 years of podcasting – with a holiday treat. We’re looking at Sarah Smith’s 2011 film ‘Arthur Christmas.’ It’s an absolute delight of a film with a voice cast that brings their A-game headed by James McAvoy. Will this turn into your own annual treat? Check it out this holiday season then tune in!
Andy & Pete return to the ring to shake up the Flickchart Ranking tree. What will change? Who will win the roshambo matches? This is our December 2021 Flickchart Re-Ranking for all of you wonderful members! Thanks as always and enjoy!
We started with meds. Last week, we followed up with therapy. This week, we’re wrapping up our trio of treatment episodes with a conversation on ADHD coaching, and how the coaching process can help you integrate your life with your ADHD.
Dee Wallace is an actor and a healer and she’s spent the last 20 years as an advocate and teacher in the art of self-creation. Today, we talk about healing yourself and your kids after living through the trauma of divorce.
Andy and Pete continue our 10 Year Anniversaries series with an episode that’s a crossover with our next series – a look at director Ann Hui. We’re looking at her 2011 film ‘A Simple Life,’ starring Andy Lau and Deannie Ip. It’s a touching and quiet film about a maid and the young man who’s family she’s been working for nearly 60 years, and how their relationship evolves when she decides to retire to an old folks’ home. The pace may not be for everyone, but we were both really touched by the film. Tune in to hear our conversation!
Sharon Saline returns to talk about the ADHD therapy experience — what to expect, what to look for, and what to watch out for as you seek support for your ADHD!
This week on the show we’re talking all about brand YOU with Becca Bycott, writer behind Bride In Reverse, a personal branding and lifestyle blog that celebrates how to reclaim autonomy after this big life change.
Pete and Andy hit the road with Kamir, Imraan, and Arjun on this week’s show as we continue our 10 Year Anniversaries series with Zoya Akhtar’s delightful film ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.’ It’s a road movie following three guys on an adventure vacation/bachelor party, and while it sounds a bit like ‘The Hangover,’ it’s anything but. We had a great time with it! Check it out then tune in!
