CATFA 092: The Longest Day

Minute 92: From Steve’s Commitment to Steve’s Motorcycle

Joining us, it’s Jay Shepard the mad genius behind MCULocationScout.com, not to mention a variety of great podcasts.

In the ninety-second minute of Joe Johnston’s 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger

Steve and Peggy head in to the meeting headed by Colonel Phillips to discuss plans for stopping Schmidt. There are a lot of elements we like in this scene. It plays well and has some great camera movement. We also like how Steve remains so quiet until the right moment. It works well.

And it transitions us to him getting ready and riding his motorcycle. We talk a bit about the TV movies and compare how he stashes his shield on the front of his bike in those to how he does it here.

And it’s the start of Steve’s last day being conscious in the 1940s. Tune in!
