CATFA 113: The Amazing Power Called Deus Ex Machina

Minute 113: From Steve Questioning to Fury Confronting

Joining us, we have Justin Jaeger from The Film Board, Trailer Rewind and the TruStory FM Entertainment Podcast Network.

In the one hundred thirteenth minute of Joe Johnston’s 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger

JJ joins us to talk about Steve being duped. But is he? Not really. If it wasn’t the wrong baseball game, then clearly it would’ve been the SHIELD Agent’s wrong hair style, or her wrong bra style. Or the remote she’s holding in her hand. That leads us to discuss Steve’s powers. Does he really have super senses?

The real question of this minute, however, is how they got that room to appear sepia-toned. As soon as Steve escapes, everything’s back to normal. That, or course, leads us to our discussion about his escape to Broadway. Should it have been Brooklyn? We kinda like that it’s here, even if it makes less sense story-wise.

We touch on the extended scene that we’ll talk about a lot more in tomorrow’s conversation. Otherwise, there’s plenty to discuss here! Tune in!
