We continue our conversation about Georgi Luchkov’s interrogation of Natasha Romanoff… or is it the other way around? This is a great tool the director employs well – shifting gender expectations in scenes like this. Again, though – should we read more into this about the director’s treatment of women? The scene does play well, though, and the shift from serious thriller to comedy with the punctuating phone call works exceptionally well. Plus, Scarlett acts well with a phone to her ear. Tune in!
