Minute Twenty: From Bruce Talking Natasha Down to Fury Needing a Response Team

Joining us, it’s Justin Jaeger from TruStory FM’s entertainment network.

In the twentieth minute of The Avengers

JJ gives us his take on Ruffalo as Bruce/Hulk. We talk a bit about the start of the relationship between Bruce and Natasha and how this scene is our first window into that. But why does Scarlett play this with her eyes seemingly welling with tears? Was that her decision? Or did the director have her do that? What does it say about Natasha and her feelings about Hulk? We do like that there’s a chicken outside that doesn’t seem to care about what’s going on. What the hell sorts of weapons are the troops wielding though?

We shift to Fury talking to the World Security Council, and we play some IMDb game with them. We also look at an alternate version of this conversation, debating if either of them really work for us. Perhaps our issue is the WSC itself. We’re not sure we like this shadowy vibe given to SHIELD at this point.

But it gives us plenty to discuss. Tune in!
