We have come to the end of our Mads & Susanne series, exploring two films from director Susanne Bier that star Mads Mikkelsen. All told, we covered Open Hearts and After the Wedding. So what did we – Pete Wright and Andy Nelson – think about not just the films but the series as a whole? And what do we think about these two artists?
Here’s a hint at what we talk about.
We’re certainly fans of both of these people. As for their collaborative output, After the Wedding stands out as the highlight. Open Hearts was a bit more divisive for us, and neither of us were fans of the Dogme 95 style. We also rank both of the films on Flickchart.
