Minute Sixty-Eight: From Running Up the Stairs to Walking Across the Gantry
Joining us on the show, we have Andrew and Joe Darowski returning from last season!
In the sixty-eighth minute of Joe Johnston’s 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger…
This is a minute all about escape. Red Skull and Dr. Zola take the elevator up to the Triebflügeljäger, but why don’t they just both take the car? And would Red Skull have left Zola behind if he didn’t want his car? We talk a bit about Nazi engineering and their actual development on a flying vehicle like this, as well as the ridiculous size of Schmidt’s coupe.
Meanwhile, Steve and Bucky run up toward the gantry. How high are they really? It seems wicked high. And why do they go up instead of down and out? It’s an odd choice.
We have a lot to debate in this minute. Tune in!
