About the show

The Devil's in the details ... and the footnotes, and the mistranslations.

The Devil's Details is a deep, irreverent, exhaustively-researched crawl through humanity's strangest sacred texts — scripture, mythology, apocalyptic prophecy, and whatever else promises the end of the world in sufficiently bizarre detail. Lester Ryan Clark and Kynan Dias take it line by line, chapter by chapter, chasing every weird footnote, mistranslation, and fever-dream image down to the bottom.

Expect bad puns, real scholarship, and a running argument with the source material. It's the kind of close reading these texts have always invited and rarely gotten — funnier than a seminary, more thorough than your average end-times prophet, and genuinely curious about why people have spent thousands of years writing down their nightmares.
