After finding success with his V-Cinema entries Ju-on: The Curse and its sequel, director Takashi Shimizu brought his haunting vision to theaters in 2002 with Ju-on: The Grudge. This theatrical adaptation expanded on his original concept while introducing new audiences to the cursed Saeki house and its vengeful spirits.
