Mandy Cane Lane
Happy Holidays from all of us in The Mandcave! This week, the Mandys are taking on Eddie Murphy’s latest try at holiday cheer, “Candy Cane Lane.” The lesson? The movie is really all about Pentatonix.
Mandy Fabian’s journey began in a small Texas town and soared through a stint in Austin’s sketch comedy scene, a film major at Vassar College, and a vibrant acting period in NYC, before settling in LA where she embraced her talents as a singer-songwriter and eventually found her calling as a writer-director, dedicated to crafting female-centric narratives. Her directorial accolades include Lifetime’s “The Young Hillary Diaries,” the Emmy-winning “Dropping the Soap” for Amazon, and recognition from the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directing Program and NewFilmmakers LA. Mandy’s recent works include the award-winning pilot “Vicarious” and her debut feature film “Jess Plus None,” a feminist rom-com, which received support from Warner Bros. and the WIF ReFrame Stamp for gender-balanced hiring. Based in LA, Mandy lives with her husband, actor Patrick Fabian, their two daughters, and a commendable array of eco-friendly water bottles. She is co-host of The Mandcave with Mandy Kaplan on TruStory FM.

The Mandys go to work on a film that is chock full of favorites… but is the finished product more than the sum of it’s parts? Along the way, updates on children’s theater, The Golden Bachelor and a game of Holiday Film Hits!

Well, at least we’re back to Mandcave proper form as the Mandys take on a Mandy favorite: Jack Black’s reunion vehicle, “The D Train.”

The Mandys are all birthdays and smiles this week as they join Awkwafina and Sandra Oh for a road trip to stardom in “Quiz Lady.”

The Mandys remind us once again that, even as actors, they do know how to read as they explore the comic scribblings of classical funny lady Rachel Bloom in her book, “I Want to Be Where the Normal People Are: Essays and Other Stuff.”

The Mandys finally decide to stop toying around with the word “narcissist” this week because they get to go inside the mind of a real one and learn that the real one ain’t f#*king around. Things get real as they check out the hit new podcast “How to Destroy Everything” and talk to the show’s creators, Danny Jacobs and Darren Grodsky.

Welcome to another steamy episode of Mandcave starring your two favorite twin flame pals, Mandy and Mandy! This week the Mandys dive into the tantalizing world of cults like they’re diving into a hot tub full of soulmates. Hold onto your singing bowls, listeners; things are about to get spicy.

The Mandys check out Chelsea Handler’s live show and along the way get a lesson in note-taking from the pros.

The Mandys are diving back into what has become a classic Mandcave oeuvre: The Reality Show. And this week, it’s time to play the classics with the heat just oozing out of The Golden Bachelor.
