Minute Ten: From 4F to a Trash Can Lid
Joining us on the show today and all week, we have Kurtis Findlay from the Epic Marvel Podcast.
In the tenth minute of Joe Johnston’s 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger…
The doc seems to think he’s saving Steve’s life, but this is Steve’s movie so we know it doesn’t end here. Steve takes solace by going to the pictures. We find him as they’re watching the newsreel. And that just seems even more of a knife in the gut for Steve as it reminds him that even little Timmy is helping the war efforts, but Steve can’t. It works great.
We discuss the other people in the audience and how the newsreel’s affecting them all. And we talk about the Loud Jerk and how Steve again shows his heroic side by telling the bully to shut up.
That means Steve has to now fight this guy in the alley. And he picks up a trash can lid that looks awfully like a shield. Hrm…
We’re liking this Steve kid more and more. Tune in!
