Minute Sixty-One: From Steve’s Stealth to Dum Dum’s Racism
Joining us, we have Matthew Fox, the voice behind The Ethical Panda and our host from last season!
In the sixty-first minute of Joe Johnston’s 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger…
Cap’s sneaking around in the Hydra factory. We talk about his nature, the peripheral vision of Hydra troops, picking up blue glowing things, and more. We love his outfit look here though. There’s chat about Mary Sues and the necessity (or not) of training montages. But why does Steve think he can handle everything by himself? And why does Hydra have so few guards stationed outside the cells? But how nice is that moment when Steve arrives at the cells? It’s a well-constructed shot. And we talk about more Howling Commandos – Gabe Jones and Falsworth, in particular. But have these troops not seen Cap’s comic books?
Lots of sneaking and meeting prisoners. Tune in!
