The Oscar nominations are out and this year more than others past, are the nominees more accessible to you where you live?

Analysts are starting to talk more feverishly about the value of small screens in getting small movies seen. Julia Alexander and Jason Snell poke at that particular dragon in the latest episode of Downstream with a nod to this piece from Parrot Analytics. Both are interesting and point to a place down the road where we see greater importance in home viewership for anything that doesn’t wear tights or blow stuff up.

New voices on the show this week! We’re thrilled to welcome Jay Shepard and Josh Stolte to the TNR rotation. They join us from their voluminous podcastery on the Retrozap podcast network including the Superhero Suite, Scarlet Velocity: A Flash Podcast, and ENJOY STUFF!

Trailers

Jay brings a spiritual follow-up to Free Guy, Josh to Buzz, and Pete brings dinos. Weaponized Nostagia, anyone?
