Retake: The Paddington Films

We’re done talking about the movies. Now let’s talk about the series.

We have come to the end of our Paddington series, exploring two films from director Paul King. It’s a short series with just Paddington and Paddington 2, but there’s a lot to talk about. So what did we – Pete Wright and Andy Nelson – think about not just the films but the series as a whole? How much does Ben Wishaw’s voice bring to this character? Would Colin Firth or perhaps Freddie Highmore fit better? How well is he integrated into his surroundings? We cover all of that – plus we add the two films to our Flickchart.
It was a fun series and a great addition to our 12th season. Next up – the Back to the Future trilogy! The Next Reel – when the movie ends, our conversation begins!

A show about movies and how they connect.

When the movie ends, our conversation begins. We love movies. We’ve been talking about them, one movie a week, since 2011. It’s a lot of movies, that’s true, but we’re passionate about origins and performance, directors and actors, themes and genres, and so much more. So join the community and let’s hear about your favorite movies, too.
