“I knew deep down if I don’t do this, I’ll never be able to truly live my life.”
Sloane U’Ren primarily works in the art department on major feature films like Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Batman Begins, and Being John Malkovich. She had been wanting to direct a feature, though. She and her composer husband, Ant Neely, had written the script for Dimensions: A Line, a Loop, a Tangle of Thread and instead of struggling for years to find the funding, sold their house and made it on their own – likely with a lot of favors called in as well. So was it worth it? Join us – Pete Wright and Andy Nelson – as we add to our 10 Year Anniversary series our October 2021 member bonus episode – U’Ren’s film Dimensions.
Dimensions is a good example of making sure you have a solid script before making the film.
This independent production has great production design, which clearly shows U’Ren’s knowledge coming through. Unfortunately, the story never—Hold on there! This is our October 2021 Member Bonus Episode. As such, it is only available for members. Why not become a member so you can listen to it?
